Keira Knightley
The actress was born in London to actors Will Knightley and Sharman Macdonald, Knightley obtained an agent at age six and initially worked in commercials and television films. In 1999, she played Sabe on Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace. She made her breakthrough with the 2002 sports documentary Bend It Like Beckham, where she portrayed an adult soccer player. in 2003 Elizabeth Swann, a Swashbuckler from the fantasy series Pirates of the Caribbean became extremely popular. She starred as a romantic in Love Actually and was called a promising young woman. In her role as Elizabeth Bennet in the period romantic comedy Pride & Prejudice (2005), Knightley was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress. Knightley was also in many more period films, including Atonement (2007 which was a romance), The Duchess, (2008) and Anna Karenina, (2012). Also, she performed the role of a socialite, Georgiana on the film The Duchess. She forayed into contemporary dramas with her role as an aspiring singer In Begin Again (2013) and as a medical student for Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (2014). Knightley made a return to dramatic dramas from the past, as Joan Clarke, in The Imitation Game in which she was a huge success and earned her the Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. In addition, she appeared in Colette which was her character writer.
